ReputationLinks – Quantifying public sector organisations’ reputation value
All Local Authorities face a raft of financial challenges. They are being forced to make cuts while maintaining and improving service outcomes. They have to engage with the community and build public trust while streamlining services. They have to deliver value for money for Council Tax payers while cutting out ‘waste’ and duplication.
Despite all these pressures, managers need to keep professionals and departments cooperating effectively to achieve the best outcomes for service users. Without the ‘glue’ – the reputation links – that keeps teams and networks together, any savings will be at the cost of falling delivery standards and reduced public support.
TrustedReputation has built the ReputationLinks tool to enable Local Authorities to plan, assess, and implement cuts without undermining service delivery and public support. ReputationLinks provides data, evidence and training to ensure managers can answer the key questions: How do I maintain staff morale during the efficiency savings process? What is the real impact of necessary cuts on provider networks functioning well? Which networks can be slimmed down without losing their glue?

Using the ReputationLinks analytical framework, TrustedReputation worked with a local authority and its partner organisations to analyse its Children Services network. The aim was to identify strengths and weaknesses in current practice around multidisciplinary working, and make recommendations on how to improve partnership working. By quantifying the range and quality of the network’s working relationships, TrustedReputation was able to provide a unique snapshot of how well partnership working was integrated locally.
